FDLE Fingerprint Card Scanning for International and Out-of-State Applicants

How the process works
Step 1 — Get your fingerprint card
The applicant obtains the fingerprint card and instructions from the Florida agency requesting the background check.
Step 2 — Have your fingerprints taken
Have your fingerprints professionally taken by an authorized fingerprinting provider in your country/location.
Step 3 — Send the completed card to us
The applicant mails the original completed fingerprint card to Jacksonville Fingerprinting Center.
Step 4 — We scan the card
We convert the fingerprint card into an electronic fingerprint submission using an approved system.
Step 5 — Electronic submission to FDLE
When the requesting agency has established the appropriate electronic submission arrangement, we transmit the fingerprint transaction to FDLE.
Step 6 — FDLE processes the request
FDLE processes the fingerprint-based criminal-history request and sends the results to the requesting agency/entity, rather than to the LiveScan provider.
